Vide Bilić, M.D., Ph.D.

Assistant Professor Vide Bilić, M.D., Ph.D. was born in 1977 in Mostar, Bosnia & Hercegovina. He currently resides in Zagreb, Croatia.

He finished medicine at School of Medicine, University of Zagreb. He then specialized in general surgery, followed by a second specialization in orthopaedics and traumatology, subspecializing in traumatology. He has been actively performing spine surgery for 12 years and is the current Head of the Department of Spine Surgery of the Clinic for Traumatology of the University Hospital Centre "Sisters of Charity“ in Zagreb, Croatia. He joined the team of St. Catherine at the end of 2022.

During his career, he focused heavily on treating all manners of spinal column truama, degenerative diseases of the spine, adult spinal deformities, pain management therapies, and spinal column tumours. In the past several years, he has particularly been active in performing revision procedures and fast-track rehabilitation after spine surgery, where he has managed to achieve a high level of success. He has an interest in applying new techniques and technologies, such as navigation and spinal endoscopy.

He has participated in and organized many congresses, and is particularly recognized as an educator in regional courses.

He has published several articles and book chapters in the field of spine surgery. He is an active member of several spine societies.
