Dr. Roberto Puxeddu

Prof. Roberto Puxeddu is an Italian and UK board certified Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist and Head and Neck Surgeon with great clinical exposure and currently a Full Professor in Otorhinolaryngologist at the University of Medicine and Surgery at University of Cagliari Italy and adjunct Clinical Professor at Gulf Medical University in UAE. Prior to this Prof. Roberto Puxeddu worked at Portsmouth Hospital Trust, UK as Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist Head and Neck Surgeon with special interest in Laser Head and Neck Cancer Surgery.

Prof. Roberto Puxeddu received his medical degree (M.D.) from the University of Cagliari, Italy, with top honours. He completed his residency in Otorhinolaryngology at the State University of Brescia, Italy, and performed several Fellowships in Ear Surgery, Voice Surgery, Endoscopic Sinus Surgery in USA and Europe.

He has special interest in Head and Neck Cancer Surgery with experience in endoscopic and open conservative cancer surgery and reconstructive microvascular reconstruction. He has been the first Italian surgeon to perform bilateral selective laryngeal reinnervation for bilateral vocal cord paralysis. He has also a consistent experience in ear surgery and endoscopic sinus surgery being trained worldwide.  He manages all the ENT emergencies. His medical expertise includes paediatric ENT for acquired and congenital diseases, salivary glands benign and malignant diseases, including sialoendoscopic procedures.

He is Ordinary member of the Italian Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery (SIO), Fellow ad eundem of the Royal College of Surgeon of England (FRCSEng.), Ordinary founding member of the European Laryngological Society (ELS), Ordinary member of the British Laryngological Association (BLA), Ordinary member of the Societas Oto-Rhino-Laringologica Latina, Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM), Honorary Fellow of The Foundation for Head and Neck Oncology (FHNO) of India, Honorary Fellow of The Russian Society of Otorhinolaryngology.
